Casper was the first born of Annie Belle, and I was amazed at how long he was!He was such a
sweetheart,we would have loved to keep him,but we were praying for the return of three
cats that had just disappeared recently. So we found him an excellent home with a nice
couple.Three days later, his new family called us frantic because Casper had literally been
howling and crying since they brought him home!Of course,we told them they could return
him to us.And we kept him with us for 14 years. When two of his sisters were also
returned,we considered them an answered prayer as our three cats that were lost were not
to be coming home.Casper was obsessed with water and with finding unique ways to get a
drink. He could not wait to get outside after it rained so he could find a mud puddle!A
bowl of water didn't interest him much, except to splash the water out of it!He figured out
if he would head butt the self waterer it would gurgle, and that was quite a joy!Casper
became ill in the last few months of his life, but remained very brave and quite happy. When
I decided it was time to let him go,he was also ready, and he went peacefully.Later that
day I visualized him in heaven making a beeline towards a beautiful stream just like he
did towards his favorite mud puddle at home, and it made me smile through the tears!
